INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Golden Shovel Agency proudly announces that client Lucas Froescl, Executive Director of Falls City Economic Development and Growth Enterprise, Inc., has been selected as one of the recipients of the esteemed Mid-America EDC Bob Ady Scholarship for 2024.

Named in memory of the late Bob Ady, a revered advocate for economic development in the U.S. and the Midwest, the scholarship program aims to support emerging economic development professionals in advancing their careers through conference participation and mentoring. Open to both Mid-America EDC members and non-members, the program gives preference to applicants new to economic development.

Lucas Froeschl’s passion for economic development and dedication to the Falls City, NE, community made him stand out among the applicants. His commitment aligns seamlessly with the scholarship program’s objective of fostering professional growth in the field of economic development.

The Mid-America EDC, a leading multi-state association, provides invaluable resources, recognition, and networking opportunities for economic development professionals across the thirteen-state region. The organization serves as a hub for education, idea exchange, and the promotion of best practices within the economic development landscape.

Lucas Froeschl, along with four other outstanding professionals, were granted the Bob Ady Scholarship, offering them the unique opportunity to attend two ket conferences in 2024: The Best Practices Conference from July 17-19 in Sioux Falls, SD, and the Competitiveness Conference from December 4-6 in Columbus, OH. Additionally, recipients will benefit from monthly mentoring sessions, commencing in March, with seasoned leaders from the Mid-America EDC region.
